Vaka TV is a pioneering force in Rarotonga, proudly independent and locally owned. As the island’s first digital television provider, we offer a main channel filled with diverse programming along with its 2nd digital channel broadcasting programs from PacificAus and Pasifika.  There is an opportunity for others to join with our additional digital channels available for rent.  

For 14 years, Vaka TV has been managed and owned by Cook Islanders, committed to delivering free-to-air content that includes programs, documentaries, current affairs, and sports. Our focus extends beyond entertainment; we actively support local charity initiatives that address crucial community concerns such as climate change, road safety, and gender equality.

Analog to digital (DTV)

Vaka TV has migrated from Analog to Digital around Rarotonga. 

 

How will this affect you?

If you are still on Analog, you will not be able to view Vaka TV. You will need to change the settings on your TV to Digital.

 

What is the difference between Analog and Digital?

The picture quality you receive on a digital (DTV) signal is 100% clearer than Analog, which can sometimes “snowy”

 

How do I change my TV from Analog to Digital (DTV)?

Every TV is different, so you will need to review your TV manual for assistance or google.
